Abstract

Michal Shishkin’s strategies and tactics (with reference to artistic metod)

The article considers the artistic method of a contemporary Russian prosaic Mikhail Shishkin in its evolution and retrospective – the novel Pismovnik (2010) is analysed within the context of the author’s preceding literary work. Particular attention is given to the modernism-determined bases of Shishkin’s prose, their textual representations associated with postmodernism practices, the readers’ perception of the author’s works.
