Abstract

The verbal theme of memory in Anna Akhmatova’s lyric

Verbal expression of memory shows about man and society, so the linguistic analysis of the motif of memory helps to understand the work of Anna Akhmatova. Conceptualization of memory in the idiolect and in the national language picture of the world are not identical. In the lyrics, as opposed to prose memoir, verbs, perfect and imperfect form, with the meaning ‘to keep in mind’ perform different functions. The form of the infinitive states the need for memory. The conception of memory in the idiolect is a metaphor ambivalent autonomous entity.
