Abstract

Motif of the border in Polish and Russian poetries at the end of XX and beginning of XXI century

The Post-Soviet reality has identified mainstream motive of “border” in the works of Russian and Polish poets, defined both as external (national) and internal (psychological). Muster of motifs and images detects similar generational experience of young authors. There are similar psychological complexes and emotional reactions: confusion, vulnerability, and self-identity crisis. As consequence a desire of new “outer limits” there can appears.
