Abstract

“Semantic Chameleons” in the function of markers of society split within human consciousness

The article is analyzing the group of words which became peculiar lexical markers dividing the society within human consciousness in accordance with “friend-or-foe” criteria. The paper accentuates thematic groups of semantically marked pairs of words. The article presents results of experiment in which mother-tongue speakers make evaluation of “semantic chameleons”.
