Expressionizm in the Story Trinadcatye of Vasily Yanovsky

Abstract

The article studies some significant issues of Russian literatury expressionism his- tory and theory. The interaction between russian and Western expressionism in the field od literature and culture of the XX century’s first decades is noted. Expression- ism was present also in lietartury Russian emigration first wave, among others in the prose of Vasily Yanovsky. Russian expressionizm pecularities are as follows: combin- ing the opposites? Blurred bordenlines of the phenomenon, facing the extremites as well as the use of traditional art techniques in a new nontraditional sense.
